Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union seeks a passionate and dedicated Spanish Language Teacher to join our team of collaborative and enthusiastic staff. In this position, the Spanish Language Teacher will deliver a comprehensive Spanish education program to intermediate and middle school students as part of the Unified Arts Rotation at Manchester Elementary Middle School with services to be provided to our other schools on an as-needed basis. The primary responsibility of the Spanish Language Teacher will be to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that align with ACTFL standards, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. The Spanish Language Teacher will develop in each student an appreciation and understanding of Spanish and its cultural history, geographical regions, values, and customs that benefit the development of the whole person, others, and environment.
Applicants are expected to know current instructional research and evidence-based instructional practices. Strong candidates will demonstrate a student-centered approach, exemplary oral and written communication skills, strong relationship building skills with students, and a commitment to working collaboratively with all colleagues. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and have extensive experience teaching Spanish to students in grades 5 through 8.
