Mancelona Veterinary Hospital, in beautiful northern Michigan, is now seeking an associate veterinarian, either part-time or full-time, to join our two doctor, privately owned practice. New grads are welcome! Our family-like team is eager to mentor and support you. We are friendly, compassionate, enthusiastic, and well-trained. We offer a positive work environment, with long-term employee retention, including four LVT’s. Our staff to doctor ratio is above average, so you can focus on diagnosing, prescribing, and surgery. Maintaining a healthy work/life balance is essential. We offer a 4 day work week, are closed on all major holidays, and do not offer after hour emergency services. We are within an hour drive to Traverse City, Gaylord, Petoskey, and Charlevoix and only minutes from ski and golf resorts, hiking, and snowmobile trails, as well as more rivers and lakes than you can imagine. Our practice has an excellent reputation in our community for providing compassionate patient care and exemplary customer service, including working closely with our local animal shelter and rescue organizations. Our compensation package offers a competitive base salary and productivity, health insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, retirement plan with 3% match, CE allowance, state and DEA license fees paid, uniform allowance, and personal pet discounts. Partnership or ownership is possible to the right candidate in the near future.
The Associate Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with a Managing Doctor and supporting medical staff. This individual develops the quality of medicine in the practice and provides exceptional client service to our clients and patients.
