Machine Operator
Youngstown company needs someone to operate a wire machine. This is a dayshift position Monday- Thursday from 6am to 4 : 30pm.
Fridays are overtime working from 6am until noon. The pay is $ an hour. This is temp to hire
The Wire Worker may set up and operate the Wire cutting, wrapping, binding, stripping, tinning, and crimping
machines at CI. They set up, prepare and process Customer Orders and Batches of wire and Wire Assemblies and
then build them according to specifications. They then forward completed materials to miscellaneous departments
throughout the Company. QUALITY IS MOST IMPORTANT!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
Reads make sheets, picking lists and schematics and receives verbal or written instructions from
Production management or QC Leader.
Sets up runs of Customer Orders and Batches for machine and hand processes as required.
Sets up Wire processing machines to specifications as specified on the Job BOM or to pre-determined
general specifications in machine instruction manual if not specified on the Job BOM.
Keeps machine components adjusted according to instructions during batch runs.
Follows standard inspection AQL routines
Change set ups to accommodate different Wire batches during the shift.
Coordinate with other Departments, QC, Production Manager, and Engineering to resolve any
discrepancies. Assist with counting and inventory adjustments
Logs orders to keep track of run.
Clean Wire equipment, machines, and accessories according to instructions daily, weekly, and monthly.
Assists in repair and annual maintenance as required.
Responsible for keeping the Wire department area clean during and after every workday.
