There are health care providers, specializing in Preventative Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, Nurse Practitioner, General Surgery, Hospice / Palliative Care, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Family Practice and more, being reported as members of the medical group.

Medical taxonomies which are covered by Manatee Physician Alliance LLC include Surgical, Emergency Medicine, Student in an Organized Health Care Education / Training Program, Specialist, Psychiatry, Adult Health, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Family, General Practice, Surgery and many more.

Position Summary

The is responsible for front desk coverage for the medical practice which includes registration, check-in, collecting co-pays, scheduling appointments, billing patients, and scanning records into EMR, reports, and correspondence.

Reliable, tactful, honest and discreet in maintaining confidentiality at all times. Must be able to carry out specific assignments to successful conclusion.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities.

It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in markets across six states and the District of Columbia.

Qualifications

Knowledge :

Minimum of one year of medical experience preferred.

Job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations.

Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, and other office procedures and terminology.

Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Education :

High school graduate or equivalent.

Completed a Medical Office Assistant / Specialist program or Medical Assistant program preferred.
