Usual Shift: 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM
The Healthcare Host/Hostess is responsible for effectively communicating (Must be able to speak and understand the basic English Language) with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient meal trays and floor stock. Major responsibilities include working on the tray line assembly line, following patient orders, putting meal trays together and delivering meal carts to patient units, Will also aide in the meal set up at bedside, discarding of soiled trays, taking inventory of nourishment area, and stocking the nourishment area. Assists customers with opening containers, collects trays and places garbage and trash in designated containers. Must take meal orders for all patients.
Complies with ALL HACCP policies and procedures. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner. Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. Willingly assists other team members without being asked.
Maintains proper supply of clean menus.
Demonstrates knowledge of station and floor breakdowns.
Possesses strong product and menu knowledge.
Completes all required side-work, including deep-cleaning assignments.
Provides courteous service and is cordial to all team members and guests.

Job Qualifications:
Experience/Knowledge:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
0 to 1 year related experience.
Skills/Aptitude:
Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors ,managers, customers, and client representatives.
Ability to use a computer.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
