    Work with a purpose! Begin a career as part of the transportation team, utilizing your skills and abilities to change the life of a Job Corps student.

    Job responsibilities: Responsible for keeping vehicles in clean and orderly condition and for operating vehicles for the purpose of transporting passengers.

    Essential functions:

    • Operate light trucks, buses and passenger vehicles; transport passengers and/ or packages; ensure adherence to established schedules and safety policies and practices
    • Maintain vehicles for routine service, clean vehicles, check fluid levels
    • Perform routine vehicle equipment inspection daily, including lights, brakes, mirrors, steering and other required operating equipment, recommend mechanical repairs as needed
    • Maintain required driver records and reports

    Education and experience requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • One year of experience as a licensed driver
    • Must have general knowledge of maintenance/ repair
    • A valid CDL (commercial driver's license) with passenger endorsement in the state of residence with an acceptable driving record
