Job Description
Pay : $21.49 per hour
Work schedule : Full-time

Job responsibilities : You'll assist with the preparation of facility meals.
Essential functions :
- Prepare and cook quantity of food required according to menu and number of inmates.
- Ensure work area is safe, clean and sanitary at all times.
- Direct the work of the inmate food service workers assigned to assist in the kitchen.
- Requires long periods of standing and walking to include climbing stairs and the ability to push and / or pull food carts.
Education and Experience Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED.
- A valid food handlers permit is also required, if required by the state of Texas.
- Food service training, one (1) year of food service or related experience and prior supervisory experience are preferred.
- Must possess a Jailer Certificate as determined by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
- Must pass background check, physical and psychological assessment as determined by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
