Job Description:
As a Residential Habilitation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personalized support and assistance with daily living activities such as budgeting, meal prep, cleaning, etc.
- Implementing individualized habilitation plans to promote skill development and independence.
- Fostering a safe and inclusive living environment that promotes dignity and respect.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being of each resident.
- Documenting progress and communicating effectively with team members
-Assisting with medications
Qualifications:
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
- Experience working in a residential or community-based setting is preferred but not required.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in disability support services are a plus.
- Ability to Submit and Clear a Health and Welfare Criminal Background Check
- Good driving record. This position requires proof of a current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle registration. Transportation is a requirement of this job, mileage is reimbursed.
-First-aid and CPR certification is required for the duration of employment.
-Medication Certification is required, upon hire we can assist with certification.
