Position Summary PHASE Alliance is seeking a highly creative and motivated Graphic Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring PHASE Alliance’s external documents, websites, social media, and overall presence is websites are easily navigable and optimized to disseminate information and fulfill the organization’s mission. The Designer is comfortable with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, third-party libraries, databases, and web servers. They gather user requirements and design interfaces and systems, facilitating user engagement while configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting web servers. You will report to the CEO and work closely with all members of the team.Responsibilities and Duties 
  • Design, develop, and maintain company website, ensuring functionality and user experience.
  • Create visually appealing and engaging graphics, illustrations, and other multimedia elements for marketing materials and campaigns that creates brand recognition and reach program goals.
  • Optimize website performance and responsiveness across different devices and browsers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance web design and graphic design skills.
  • Provide support for website troubleshooting and technical issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute design strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Design marketing materials including, but not limited to, social media posts, ad campaigns, signage, mail campaigns, and more.
  • Maintain a consistent, branded look and feel across the website.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
 
  • Maintain site/server security through up-to-date firewalls, protected logins, and updated code.
  • Integrate tracking codes (analytics, remarketing, CRM triggers) via Google Tag Manager.
Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualities and attributes: 
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven work experience (5 years) in web design, development, and graphic design.
  • Proven experience (portfolio required) as a graphic designer, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization. 
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design. 
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design quality. 
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries and back-end languages and frameworks. 
  • Familiarity with databases and web servers. 
  • Experience with web platforms and the ability to customize platform functions.
  • An understanding of web server and site security, session management, and best development practices
  • Experience with network diagnostics and network analytics tools.
  • Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process.
  • Creative problem-solving skills for both design and systems.
