Job Title: Director of Accounting, Auditing and Technical Support/Research

Reports to: Audit Partners

Job Summary: MaloneBailey, LLP is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to serve as the Director of Accounting and Auditing Technical Support/Research. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support and conducting research on complex accounting and auditing issues. The successful candidate will work closely with our accounting and auditing teams to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality service.

Salary Range & Benefits: Commensurate with experience, standard firm benefits

Hours Required: 40 hrs.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the firm's accounting and auditing teams on complex accounting and auditing issues
  • Conduct research on emerging accounting and auditing issues, and prepare technical memos and white papers to provide guidance to the firm's clients
  • Develop and maintain the firm's accounting and auditing policies and procedures, and ensure that they are in compliance with current accounting standards and regulations
  • Stay current with emerging accounting and auditing issues and trends, and provide training and education to the firm's staff and clients as necessary
  • Collaborate with the firm's marketing and business development teams to develop thought leadership content, such as articles, webinars, and presentations, on accounting and auditing topics

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in public accounting or a related field, with a focus on technical accounting and auditing matters
  • Big Four senior manager experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and regulations, including GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Education and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
  • CPA or other professional certification preferred
