Job Description

DME Delivery/Service Technician –

Mallard Medical Supply LLC. is a durable medical equipment company seeking an energetic, hardworking, individual for a full time Service Technician position. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, able to work 40 plus hours per week with some overtime. Some ON CALL are required. Company delivery vehicle and tablet are provided. Must be able to pass background check, driving test, and drug screen.

The ideal candidate for this multi-tasking position shall demonstrate strong communication skills, strong work ethic, excellent attendance, professionalism, and computer proficiency since this position requires all documents be maintained and processed electronically. Service Technicians are expected to be clean cut, friendly, and compassionate as they will have daily interactions with patients and referral sources. Must be able to lift up to 110 lbs. frequently on a daily basis.

Job Duties:

  • Be knowledgeable of and responsible for the current Mallard Medical Supply policies and procedures that apply to this position.
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (ie; word, excel, etc.)
  • Responsible for setting up medical equipment in the patient’s home in a professional, safe, and timely manner.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork for the setup and service of equipment.
  • Teach the patient about the safe and proper use of the medical equipment.
  • Instruct the patient on the safe and proper use of disposable supplies.
  • Instruct the patient on appropriate cleaning and maintenance of the equipment
  • Make routine deliveries, and pickup of medical equipment and supplies for existing patients.
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment in the patient’s home.
  • Help patient become and remain compliant with use of medical equipment.
  • Responsible for keeping vehicle clean, organized, and maintained.
  • Clean dirty equipment as assigned.
  • Cover call as needed.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

. Requirements:

Minimum Job Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent. Good command of the English language. Legible handwriting. Good personal hygiene and appearance. Must be able to interact well with other employees. Must be kind and empathetic with patients. Must be able to organize duties and follow up. Must be detail-oriented and be able to respond appropriately to disruptions in routine. Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately.
