Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. Duties:
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Ensure excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, resolving complaints, and addressing any customer concerns
- Train and develop store staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, and company policies
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure accurate stock levels
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the overall store appearance
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
- Implement effective loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and maximize profitability
- Assist in scheduling and managing employee shifts to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to analyze sales data and develop strategies to increase store revenue
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is required
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving results
- Strong knowledge of cash register operations, inventory control, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Experience in training development and employee management
- Familiarity with payroll processes and basic understanding of market trends
- Prior experience in retail management is preferred
