Job Summary

We are a small business in Howard County seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team.

Our ideal candidate possesses a Masters degree in the rehabilitation or helping field; clinical or industry-related certifications; and excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills. We will consider a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field.

This position involves providing assistance to injured workers in preparing for and returning to competitive employment by providing the following types of services:

• Pre-vocational services
• Transferable skills analysis
• Matching of job skills and demands to physical abilities/limitations
• Resume and cover letter development
• Job interviewing skills
• Vocational counseling
• Job placement services
• Basic computer instruction
• Medical case management & coordination

The Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist must have strong written and verbal communication skills as this position requires ongoing reporting of client progress and interdisciplinary communication with attorneys, insurance adjusters, and healthcare providers.

Training is provided!
