The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist works with site leadership and team members to implement and improve site safety, health, and environmental programs.
The EHS Specialist operates under the supervision of the EHS Manager and within established procedures to provide technical support to EHS activities.
The EHS Specialist will help ensure that Malarkey Roofing Products facilities provide safe work environments while complying with applicable EHS regulations.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience : A bachelor's degree in an EHS related field of Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health, or related technical discipline.
At least three years' EHS experience is preferred.
Familiarity with a variety of EHS concepts, practices, and procedures including knowledge of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Labor (DOL), environmental laws and other EHS laws recommended.
EHS related licenses, certifications and / or membership in professional associations desired. Ability to create an environment around EHS that is front of mind, real time and embedded in everyday behaviors of our colleagues preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications;
organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work preferred. Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred.
