Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Representative will oversee store management relationships for each account, facilitate indirect sales development and growth, develop product training programs, and act as the primary contact for problem resolution for assigned stores.

Salary: $38,000 - $44,000 Yearly

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for the face-to-face interaction with an assigned group of store personnel, including the Store Manager, D25 Department Head, D25 Associate, and Merchandise Execution Team.
• Responsible for the sales growth at each assigned store by developing and implementing strategic merchandising plans to increase point of sale and obtain a market sale.
• Document store successes, growth, and/or opportunities that can be communicated to the appropriate team.
• Create and maintain monthly reports indicating growth and ability to track and analyze data to ensure targets are achieved.
• Responsible for display maintenance and POP materials for customer educational interaction and product promotions within assigned stores.
• Perform tool demonstration events and training events in stores to drive sales.
• Assist the department in the resolution of any retail consumer issues relating to quality or exceptions of product specifications.
• Maintains customer relationships by visiting store managers, department managers, and employees; answering their questions; responding to special requests; and describing product features.
• Maintain and increase shelf facings.
• Negotiate opportunities for extra merchandising space with regional, district, or store-level management.
• Maintain relationships and negations with the Merchandising Execution Team to ensure all products are merchandised and restocked according to plan-o-gram for each bay in D25.
• Train and keep customers and store personnel informed on products and promotions.
• Ensure the best product placement and presence (eye level placement, high traffic, multiple points of distribution with premium merchandising.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: This position will sometimes work in an open office setting that is quiet, and fast-paced and fosters continuous learning while operating under high demand/volume. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Travel: Travel is required for meetings, training seminars, trade shows, and end-user presentations. 30% travel is required.

Education and/or Experience Desired:

• Retail merchandising experience within the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in sales, marketing, or related discipline.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Divers License w/ Safe driving record.

• Physically & mentally able to work in an environment that may be subjected to a strict deadline and multiple projects.
• The employee must be able to safely operate a moving vehicle.
• May be subject to overtime as required.
