Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching holes or cracks
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas
- Remove fixtures and furniture as needed before painting
- Repair drywall and plaster as necessary
- Install fixtures and perform basic maintenance person tasks related to painting projects
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine painting requirements
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a painter or similar role
- Knowledge of various painting techniques and tools
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
- Basic maintenance person skills for minor repairs and installations
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
