POSITIONTITLE: Freelance Project Manager, Promotions

POSITIONREPORTSTO: Sr. Director, Promotions

POSITIONSUMMARY: MLB Network is seeking a Project Manager, Promotions to assist in delivering Promotion related projects. This role will be critical in the planning and overall management of Promotion related projects, working to help define of project scope, gather business requirements, define project deliverables, create, and manage project documentation, and to create and manage project timelines. The successful candidate will be an experienced project manager with an eye for detail, and highly developed communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage production of Promotions to ensure timely completion and on budget.
  • Create and manage project timelines, deliverables, assignments, and budgets in association with Sr. Director, Promotions.
  • Review briefs forms for timing and feasibility. Communicate with internal clients on project status and ensure needs are being fulfilled.
  • Ensure projects are correctly allocated against costs and scheduling.
  • Process all invoices in a timely manner to ensure Finance pays on schedule.
  • Confirm integrated deliverables and rollout schedule with Sr. Manager, Promotional Traffic.
  • Create and maintain edit schedule, coordinating with Sr. Director, Promotions.
  • Support graphic needs by managing design deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage legal related aspects of projects, including footage restrictions, title clearances, music usage, talent and location releases, standards and practices, etc.
  • Assist Sr, Director, Promotions, Producers, and Production Manager to coordinate video and film shoots.
  • Laisse with Traffic team to ensure all details, sponsor obligations are captured within promotions to ensure proper tune-in information.
  • Monitor programming calendar to ensure that any scheduling changes are reflected in spots that are currently in-flight.
  • Assist Production Management in all areas as needed.
  • Other such duties as required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Promotion, Brand Creative or Creative Services is preferred.
  • Flexible, self-starter, able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to interface with various departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Able to solve problems, make quick decisions, and work independently.
  • Must be detail and deadline oriented, with great time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of production budgeting a plus.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including nights, weekends, and
  • Needs to be highly professional, courteous, organized, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Possess the manual dexterity to effectively operate keyboard/mouse on computers, etc.
  • Possess the visual acuity needed to effectively deliver required work product.
  • Possess the auditory acuity needed to effectively deliver required work product.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, kneel, bend, twist, and turn for sufficient lengths of time in order to effectively deliver required work product.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree is required.
