Recreation Aide
Majestic Oaks nursing and Rehabilitation is a 180-bed skilled nursing center with both long term and sub-acute patients. The facility has a great team of nurses and activity aides which get plenty of guidance and education from a superior nursing support team with well qualified nurse educators.
Ideal Recreation Aide candidate should have experience in long term care environment, be energetic and caring.
We are looking for a Full-Time Dementia Trained Aide!
Responsibilities :
- Assists in providing a program of activities that meets the interest and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and safety of each resident
- Provides individualized attention, including those with dementia, which encourages each resident's ability, including one on one visits as scheduled
- Design, plan and prepare various activity programs using your own skills and areas of specialty
- Generate activity supply lists and maintain supplies and equipment in a safe and functional order
- Consistently maintain proper documentation including daily attendance sheets and friendly visits
- Applicants must be positive, motivated, dependable, and a team player.
Qualifications :
- Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Must have experience and adequate training dealing with Dementia patients
