Help us provide healthy, nutritious, appealing food to our students and staff! The clerk assures that the financial records for the nutrition program are maintained. Hours are typically 6:45am-1:45pm.

A Day in the Life:

• Collect money and credit student/staff accounts so meals can be purchased
• Maintain accurate records of accounts, money collected, and meals served in order to meet compliance mandates and state reports
• Maintain collected money to ensure the safe keeping of funds
• Assist with preparation of food items
• Prepare menu board
• Maintains confidentiality as required by district, state and federal laws
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the kitchen

Successful Candidates:

• Pass a background check
• Have a current TB test
• Food Safety Basics – State Department of Education
• Have cashier experience
• Are strong team players
• Possess basic computer and math skills
• Must enjoy a fast pace environment
• Understand and follow state health regulations
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Can spend 80% of their day standing and 20% walking – Time is spent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using finger dexterity
• Can work in extreme temperatures in a noisy and crowded environment containing hazards
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality

Pay: $12.20 - $13.80 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
