Role Overview:

Maison Berger is seeking a dedicated, outgoing, hardworking, and proactive individual to join our team as a Sales Associate. This role is intended to assist with tasks as needed and to provide essential support with the smooth operation of the retail store.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Requirements:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving issues

- Ensure the store is well-maintained, organized, and visually appealing at all times

- Assist customers in finding the right products for their needs

- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales

- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits

- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently

- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends

- Inventory maintenance on internal system

- Willing to work in a team environment

- Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, to stand on your feet all day, and lift up 15- 35 lbs.

Other responsibilities:

- Answering phone

- Resolving any customer issues in a timely, professional manner

- Opening/closing the store – someone, ideally someone senior, will need to be a keeper of the key

- Managing POS and cash box

- Executing in-store promotions

- Executing loyalty program (sign ups & redemption)

- Custom orders

- Merchandising and in-store displays

- Store maintenance and regular cleaning

Tools:

Phones, Shopify POS and Microsoft Office

Qualifications:

- Bilingual skills, particularly English and Spanish, are preferred

- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred

- Experience with home fragrance is preferred

- Experience with luxury goods is preferred

- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain an organized and clean sales floor.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in person and on the phone

- Ability to upsell and promote products effectively

- Knowledge of fragrance products is a plus

- Ability to provide product demonstrations to customers

- Customer service-oriented mindset

- Ability to approach customer inquiries individually and provide personalized recommendations and solutions

- Ability to think strategically, assess opportunities, and provide creative solutions to complex problems while remaining flexible and adaptable

- Ability to work independently or with a team

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 23 per week

Shift:

The store opens from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. but staff might be required to arrive before the store opens to assist with setting up or leave after the store closes to assist with closing procedures.

Weekly day Range:

The retail store is generally open 7 days per week.
