Maintenance Engineering Group is Hiring a Mechanical Assembler Technician Near Minneapolis, MN

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the mechanical assembly of packaging machine format tools. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in interpreting technical documents, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Join our team and contribute to the successful assembly of format tools while ensuring a safe and efficient production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble format tools at the facility based on provided technical documents.
  • Construct subassemblies and components according to drawings.
  • Build and align format tool carts as per specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with high-quality standards and optimize installation procedures.
  • Execute assignments accurately and within specified timelines.
  • Uphold machine safety and meet quality gate requirements.
  • Document the entire assembly process comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Assembly Technician and Assembly Operations Manager to execute format tool assembly at the US plant.
  • Provide support to the commissioning department, including loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving.
  • Fulfill any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Industrial mechanical experience or similar technical training.
  • Preferred experience in format tool (mechanical) assembly.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical documents and drawings.
  • Familiarity with pneumatics is desirable.
  • Experience with manual machining equipment and adjustments.
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools and safe usage.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Reliable, accurate, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in reading 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to work independently and provide solution-oriented approaches.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Must be proficient in English (reading, speaking, and writing).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
