Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated 6th Grade Elementary School Teacher to join our hybrid homeschooling program at Mainstay Christian Academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong Christian faith and a passion for education and a desire to create a positive learning environment for young students. Teachers are on site on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm and are compensated for three hours of at-home prep time per week.

Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school curriculum
- Provide instruction in various subjects including literacy, math, science, and social studies
- Utilize creative teaching methods to enhance student learning
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Collaborate with other teachers to enhance the overall educational experience
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support academic growth

Skills:
- Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to proofread educational materials and provide constructive feedback
- Proficient in public speaking to engage students and parents
- Background in literacy education to promote reading and writing skills development
