Audio-Visual Manager Wanted at Premier Philadelphia Hotel

Join the heart of Philadelphia's hospitality industry! Our esteemed hotel is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Manager to lead our AV department, ensuring exceptional client interactions and unparalleled event experiences.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated Audio-Visual Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be directly responsible for managing the audio-visual needs for in-person and virtual events held within the hotel conference center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct management and oversight of all AV operations within the hotel, across multiple floors.
  • Provide hands-on technical setup and operation of in-person and virtual event equipment, including audio, video, projection, lighting, drape, computers, etc… This includes physical labor, must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
  • Work independently and efficiently.
  • Engage closely with the hotel sales department, event planners, and clients to understand and fulfill their AV needs for events, meetings, and conferences, ensuring their vision is realized flawlessly.
  • Accompany the hotel sales department on-site visits with clients and/or event planners to determine their event needs, as well as provide expert consultations on the latest AV solutions to best suit their events and budgets.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Responsible for all phases of supporting client events, including: Proposal creation | Equipment specifications/layouts/diagrams/floor plans | Scheduling for equipment and staff | Timely and accurate set-up/breakdown/resetting of equipment across multiple rooms, floors, and events | On-site and In-room Event technical support | Event invoicing
  • Ensure that all equipment is in prime working condition, overseeing any necessary repairs or replacements and stock replenishment.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise AV team members, fostering a client-first mindset.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other departments to ensure events are executed smoothly.
  • Stay updated with the latest AV trends and technologies to provide cutting-edge recommendations and services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in AV management within a hotel setting with a strong emphasis on client interaction.
  • Solid technical knowledge of AV equipment and systems for in-person and virtual events
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to schedule equipment and staff for multiple simultaneous events.
  • Advanced problem-solving and strategizing skills and a Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven leadership abilities and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
