MaineHealth is Hiring a Respiratory Therapist I Near Portland, ME

Summary

  • Position Summary
    • The Respiratory Care Practitioner Level I (RCP I) has less than 1 year of clinical experience in a tertiary care facility or is a recent graduate of an AMA approved two (2) or four (4) year respiratory care training program. The RCP I must possess knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathology, respiratory diagnostic techniques, treatment methods and equipment selection and maintenance for chronic, acute and emergency care in all hospital areas including intensive care and outpatient settings. An RCP I must be adept at patient assessment, analysis of clinical data, and formulation of patient care plans. The RCP I is developing the required knowledge and skills to practice respiratory care independently in all venues of a tertiary care, academic medical center.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: N/A
    • License/Certifications: Licensed by the Maine Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners as a Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT), a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or have recently graduated from an AMA approved two (2) or (4) year Respiratory Care degree program and have obtained a State of Maine temporary respiratory care technician license. Credentialing by the National Board of Respiratory Care as an RRT or CRT. If certified as a CRT, must obtain RRT within 6 months of hire. Holds and maintains BLS.
