Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 2-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

The Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders is looking for an Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Clinic team!

The Registered Nurse will assist with face-to-face and telephonic care and treatment of patients. Responsible for the delivery of care through the process of nursing assessment, planning and implementation.

The Center of Excellence is a full-service integrated treatment, research, and training center designed to meet the needs of Maine families, generate new treatment models, and advance autism science for the benefit of all. New and expanded services include child and adult outpatient clinics, preschool, K-12 day treatment and early intervention in-home services. 

Together we can ensure that children and adults with autism and developmental disorders achieve their greatest potential!

Phlebotomy and ECG experience preferred.

Position Summary

  • Assists with face-to-face and telephonic care and treatment of patients. Responsible for the delivery of care through the process of nursing assessment, planning and implementation. Promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm and supportive atmosphere, demonstrating the Values in Action with each interaction, at all times. Performs tasks as required within their scope of practice, paying attention to detail and accuracy. Conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality. The incumbent is required to conduct all job responsibilities consistent with policies, procedures, and in compliance with all applicable laws or mandates relating to patient care and activities.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing required. Current BLS required.
  • Experience: At least two years' experience in related field preferred.
  • The use and knowledge of computers, the knowledge of office procedures necessary, and routine laboratory procedures.
