Position Summary

The RN of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program exercises independent judgment in the direction, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provide for outpatients receiving Phase II and Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation services. In addition to providing direct patient care, this position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program, including supervision of CNAs in the absence of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Director. This position works effectively and cooperatively with the medical staff, Cardiac Rehabilitation Medical Director, Nursing Staff, House Supervisors, Administration, support and ancillary services personnel to ensure safe, quality Cardiac Rehabilitation Services. Other duties may be required as determined by circumstance or as delegated by Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Director.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• • Education: Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Maine. BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, required. Specialized training or previous experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation preferred.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in nursing with 2 years’ experience in critical care nursing. See also "License/Certifications"
  • Strong organizational skills with extensive knowledge of Cardiac Rehabilitation standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a team orientation.
