Summary

Position Summary

The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of the Western Maine Healthy Pregnancy-Safe Baby initiative through Healthy Community Coalition. The Project Manager will maintain a high level of expertise in SUD/OUD treatment and resources in Western Maine. The Project Manager has primary responsibility for facilitating the planning, implementation and post implementation phases of grant initiatives. They will assist with the coordination with one or more MaineHealth programs including Behavioral Health Integration and non-research grants. This position will be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the Mountain Region Maternal Child Health Consortium, which encompasses Franklin County and Oxford County, Maine and Carroll County, New Hampshire. Incumbents in this role generally work with team members, functional area managers, and senior management. Incumbents work from specifications, maintain and update documentation, facilitate project team meetings and prepare project materials. The Project Manager will work closely with the evaluation team to determine the appropriate qualitative and quantitative measures to evaluate progress and successful implementation. These projects will result in measurable improvements that will impact clinical, administrative, financial systems, operational excellence, and/or the infrastructural systems of MaineHealth that will benefit our patients, families and staff. The Project Manager will also provide regular progress reporting to his/her supervisor and other groups as appropriate.

A MPH or other Master's Degree is preferred. 5 years of experience in community health, public health or substance-use prevention or treatment is preferred. This position is based out of Healthy Community Coalition in Farmington.

Hybrid work is available, candidates will be required to be on site in Farmington periodically throughout the year.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Three to five years' project management experience preferred. Proven work experience in healthcare as well as knowledge of integrated healthcare systems.
  4. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
  6. Excellent oral and written presentation skills; ability to write and present for a variety of audiences.
  7. Demonstrated highly developed organizational skills.
  8. A high level of analytical and critical thinking skills are necessary to support dynamic work teams and communicate effectively with a wide variety of patients/families, hospital administrative staff, clinicians and external contacts and vendors.
  9. Able to direct team members in a matrixed environment.
  10. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
  11. Skilled Facilitator
  12. Knowledge of computer programs required for this position.
