Summary
The MA Apprenticeship program is in partnership with Southern Maine Healthcare and York County Community College. Through the apprenticeship, participants will work with medical assistants 20 hours per week at a partnering SMHC outpatient medical practice. At the same time, they will receive blended classroom and online instruction from York County Community College’s (YCCC) medical assisting instructors. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will take a national accreditation exam to become Certified Clinical Medical Assistants (CCMA). Additionally, participants who successfully complete the program are eligible to receive up to 30 college credits in York County Community College’s Health Studies degree program.
