Unit Bio:
The Surgical Oncology unit cares for a variety of surgical oncology specialties, such as complex Upper and Lower GI, GYN Oncology and Head and Neck. This unit also serves as an acute medical/surgical unit which includes 12 Intermediate Level Care beds.
The nursing staff have worked to create a work environment which values excellence, team work and peer support. Nursing staff work collaboratively with leadership in a shared governance model. R4 is a very goal driven unit and they encourage staff to pursue professional goals.
