Job Description: 3- 12hr Every Weekend 7a-7p Newly increased shift differentials for overnights, weekends, and holidays! Responsibilities: Phlebotomy Excellence: Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures with precision, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Sample Collection and Processing: Collect, label, and process blood and other specimens using established techniques. Order, receive, accession, and track specimens in the department's information system(s). Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of collected specimens against orders and perform waived testing as required. Specimen Handling: Prepare specimens for testing or shipment to internal/external laboratories. Dispose of specimens according to policies and procedures. Clerical Duties: Perform clerical duties, including maintaining supplies and equipment. Collaborative Learning: Engage in collaborative learning opportunities, contributing to the team's collective growth by fostering an environment of shared knowledge and skill development. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of lab processes by sharing your expertise, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and staying informed about industry best practices. Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year(s) of experience as a Phlebotomist in a healthcare setting is highly preferred. Demonstrates a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork. Possess hands-on experience in phlebotomy techniques or have successfully completed a recognized phlebotomy program preferred. Note: Although experience is preferred, we may be willing to train.
