Maine Warrior Gym is Hiring a Weekend Manager Near South Portland, ME

Job Summary: As a Manager at the Maine Warrior Gym, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the management responsibilities and day-to-day operations of the gym front-end. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fun company that encourages self-expression and values your unique personality. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for various tasks, including front desk duties, hosting birthday parties, managing customer inquiries, ensuring cleanliness and safety protocols, scheduling classes, organizing events, and more. We are seeking an organized, friendly, motivated, and independent individual who is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for our members and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the gym front-end, including welcoming customers, checking in members, and addressing inquiries.
  • Host birthday parties, which involves setup, cleanup, and coordinating food orders.
  • Manage communication channels such as mail, voicemail, and email, promptly responding to customer queries and providing information about the gym.
  • Ensure that cleaning protocols are followed by staff to maintain a clean and safe environment for all.
  • Coordinate and find coverage for coaches' time off requests to ensure smooth operations of classes and programs.
  • Utilize membership software (Zen Planner) to schedule and administer classes effectively.
  • Assist in organizing events, seminars, and other special activities, coordinating logistics and ensuring their successful execution.
  • Collaborate with coaches and classes to gather marketing content that showcases the gym's unique offerings.
  • Maintain a well-organized, safe, and welcoming front-end area of the gym.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the overall success of the gym.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor, with exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions when necessary.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with fitness facilities or the sports industry is a plus.
  • Must be available to work evening and weekend shifts as per the outlined schedule.
