Description
Are you a dynamic finance professional with a passion for local news and the ability to support management with accurate and insightful reporting? The Senior FP&A Analyst will develop consolidated reporting, analyze operating and financial results for the Maine Trust for Local News, its locations and publications, including preparing internal and external reporting, deliverables and analyzing and explaining trends and drivers.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop forecasts, Budgets and long-range planning tools, coordinating with stakeholders on assumptions and inputs
- Timely report on Budget to Actual, for METLN, its locations and Publications
- Support the monthly close consolidation process by preparing variance analysis and reporting of results for multiple business units
- Assist with the analysis of financial information to determine present and future financial performance, including coordinating monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual planning processes.
- Assist Management with financial planning including presentations and key analysis request.
- Serve as a key liaison and partner to METLN Controller
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sr. FP&A Analyst
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and best practices
- Solid experience of financial analysis and forecasting and budgeting
- QuickBooks Online or experience with a similar system required
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (QBO Payroll, Bill.com, Expensify)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with integration of acquired companies is a plus
- Not for profit program accounting experience is a plus
- BS/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant field; MBA is a plus
