Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) seeks a Training Specialist to join our Employer Reporting team. MainePERS is an established, professional, and dynamic organization that manages a variety of employee benefits for Maine’s public sector workers. The Training Specialist develops, coordinates, and provides training to the staff employed by our participating employers related to their payroll reporting obligations. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and superior interpersonal skills to understand and educate employees inside and outside of the organization. 

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with five years of progressive experience, a post-secondary degree and seven years related work experience, OR any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
• Prior experience with presentations and public speaking
• Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel at the Intermediate level.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of and experience with effective teaching methodologies
