Maine People’s Alliance (MPA) is a community of Maine people, from all different backgrounds, who believe that we can live in a world where everyone has what they need, contributes what they can, and nobody is left behind.

MPA is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Coordinator based in our Lewiston office, with one day a week required in our Portland office. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining organization across three MPA offices, performing administrative tasks, and assisting staff as needed. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, and reporting directly to the Field Strategy Director.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Perform general administrative and staff support tasks to ensure organizational performance
  • Manage office volunteers
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Monitor incoming mail and email
  • Greet visitors to the office
  • Oversee office facility management and maintenance for Lewiston, Portland, and Bangor offices
  • Coordinate the use and organization of MPA office spaces
  • Limited bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Coordination of printing and mailing
  • Assist with staff travel, event, and meeting arrangements

  • Ability to problem-solve effectively;
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends;
  • Prior administrative or office management experience is preferred, but not required;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Commitment to MPA’s mission

This position is based in our Lewiston office with one day a week required in our Portland office. The Administrative Coordinator reports to MPA’s Field Strategy Director. This position is full-time and unionized, with a starting salary range of $43,000 - $50,000. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, retirement benefits, and more.
