**BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:** This is maintenance and personal services work in performing a variety of skilled and unskilled manual labor tasks associated with minor maintenance, repair, and upkeep of Maine Forest Service buildings, grounds and equipment. Regular duties include general cleaning, maintenance and repair of facilities and grounds and maintaining, testing and repairing wildland fire equipment. This position will also provide wildland fire suppression support within Maine on private, state and federal lands.

**REPRESENTATIVE TASKS:** *(A position may not be assigned all the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all the duties that may be assigned).*

Mows, waters, weeds, and seeds lawns; and cuts brush in order to maintain grounds.

Cleans vehicles/equipment in order to maintain and extend usefulness of vehicles/equipment.

Checks and fills fluids and monitors condition of vehicles and equipment in order to ensure vehicles and equipment are ready for operation.

Performs basic repairs and maintenance activities in order to maintain buildings and grounds.
