Aquatics Manager Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

● Maintains Main Street’s Mission Statement and Business Values

● Maintains knowledge of Main Street Policies / Consistently Enforce Policies with Clients

● Support in the training new hires and existing team members including but not limited to

○ Instructors

○ Deck Supervisors

● Support team members in finding coverage if needed

● Teach/substitute for lessons or other duties at all locations. (First in line to emergency sub)

● Make sure all staff are upholding our culture and their own duties

● Report any issues to the Regional Director and Aquatics Director

● Keep stock of inventory, letting Director know when it is low

● Maintain any Main Street equipment and let Director know when something is needed or needs to

be replaced.

● Be physically present at the pool during lesson hours as Deck Supervisor or Manager on Duty

when not in water instructing classes

● Have a good working relationship with Lease holders (LA Fitness, etc)

● Designated Customer service hours – answering phones, answering emails, enrolling students

● Attend LA Fitness open houses or other promotional marketing opportunities

● Other management responsibilities/projects as assigned and needed

Qualifications

● Previous experience instructing, swim lessons, childcare, etc.

○ Supervision of employees preferred

● Certifications

○ Lifeguard, First aid and CPR certification

○ Background check

● Punctual / Communicative When Running Late & Follows Proper Procedure for Requesting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
