Job Description:
As a General Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our high-end remodeling projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with project managers and various team members to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of residential remodeling projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
* Track project progress and report any issues or delays to the project manager.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
* Detailed demolition of projects per specifications as requested.
* Assist skilled construction workers in performing their assigned tasks by completing a variety of duties, including general labor (i.e., project site clean-up, dust protection installation, etc.).
* Coordinate with management to confirm, schedule, and inspect product delivery ahead of installation dates.
* Maintain organization and keep a detailed inventory of all storage items.
* Coordinate with management to monitor the status and availability of product that have already been ordered.
* Record, report, and return any defective items.
* Perform other administrative tasks to support the construction team.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in construction management is a plus.
* Proven experience in a construction-related role.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
* Knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Ability to use various inventory control systems.
* Valid Michigan driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
* Self-motivated to accomplish tasks with little to no direction.
