Objectives:

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen workspace.
  • Help to select and develop recipes and menus.
  • Receives and inspects product and supplies for quality and quantity to ensure appropriate inventory.
  • Maintain company vehicle in clean and good working condition where applicable.
  • Maintain meticulously detailed record of any and all interaction with customers.
  • Contributes to the overall goal of maintaining quality customer service.
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet a safe production, delivery and service schedule.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
  • Tastes all prepared food items for accuracy.
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service periods.
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
  • Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings.
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties assigned or requested.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Completion of Chef’s apprentice or equivalent (preferred).
  • Certification: SERV-Safe certification (preferred).

Experience, and/or Training:

  • Three plus (3 ) years’ experience as a Senior Cook, Line Cook, Sous Chef (required).
  • Must have knowledge of cooking processes; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the materials, equipment and methods used in preparing food.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and personal hygiene standards required in food preparation and service.
  • Knowledge of a variety of standard cooking recipes and the ability to work therefrom.
  • Ability to work under conditions of high temperature.
  • Ability to operate standard cooking equipment and to use kitchen and cooking utensils.
  • Ability to coordinate workers engaged in food service activities.
  • Ability to follow and transmit oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to differentiate between various colored cleaning products by color/product name.
  • Ability to define specific uses of cleaning products.
  • Ability to read instructions indicated on customer accounts using a tablet, Point of Sale equipment, or smartphone.
  • Ability to communicate with leadership to ensure customer expectations are met.

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel using company vehicle for Premium Meal delivery service. (as needed)
  • Must be willing to work weekends.
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of POS systems, MS Office, and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to commute to designated kitchen location.
  • Ability to reach, pull, stoop, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and move kitchen equipment.

Other Required Criteria:

  • Valid Florida Driver's License in good standing.
  • Ability to pass a background check and a drug test.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • MUST have reliable transportation.

Health & Safety Expectations:

  • PPE is provided for every employee.
  • PPE to be worn during service.
