** Markets Transfer Driver Job Description **Job Summary: Pick, load, and transfer product from the Oskaloosa warehouse to our extended territory warehouses in Des Moines and Hiawatha where it will be stored until needed.Supervisory Responsibility: NoneReports To: Market Sales ManagerEssential Job Functions:1. Report to work when on time with in proper uniform.2. Wear all safety equipment deemed necessary by Mahaska and any account you are servicing.3. Keep any vehicles and company equipment clean.4. Maintain a safe driving record.5. Keep yourself organized to in order to stay on a consistent schedule.6. Operate simple machines and possibly a forklift (training will be provided)7. Communicate any potential issues to the Market Sales or Warehouse teams. 8. Must have reliable and regular attendance.General Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Attend the assigned company meetings as directed by your supervisor. 2. Help maintain the positive image of the company in the trade. 3. Know, understand, and adhere to all company policies and procedures. 4. Possess excellent communication and people skills. 5. Represent a positive image of Mahaska Markets. 6. Notify the company when injured, either on the job or away from the job. 7. Promote and maintain company goodwill in all areas.This job description is general in nature and serves as a guide to your job responsibilities. May require lifting up to 50 lbs. and/or the use of a two-wheel cart up to 200lbs. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be 21 years or older.Shift Times:Start time is flexible, allowing the position to be home at the end of each shift. Mahaska observes 5 major holidays as paid days.
