About the Role

Magrathea is seeking a hands on detail-oriented R&D Technician to help run and optimize our revolutionary electrolytic process technology. Our innovative talent is one of the biggest drivers in our success, and talented people don’t always fit with rigid job descriptions or day-to-day responsibilities. However, we want to be transparent about what will be expected of this role. The R&D Technician will be a key player in the scale-up and design of our revolutionary electrolytic process technology. 

Role Expectations

• Run and optimize bench and pilot chemical and metal processing equipment under the direction of team engineers and scientists, on night shift if necessary
• Be diligent in note-taking and provide written reports to other team members
• Clean, organize and prepare feedstock and product materials for further processing
• Perform mechanical and instrument maintenance activities

Ideal Background

• Experience in plant operations, for instance as an operator or technician 
• Attentive, with care for operations reliability and maintenance
• Creative and open-minded with the ability to rapidly learn
• Demonstrated track record of working on a team to achieve audacious goals together
• History of promoting company culture based on humility, transparency, respect, and care for the success of other team members

Compensation

• Salary range: $60-$90k annually (commensurate with experience)
