Magnum Venus Products Inc is Hiring a Production Planner/Scheduler Near Knoxville, TN

Are you a maestro of manufacturing mayhem? Do you thrive in the symphony of production schedules and dance through the chaos with finesse? If so, we want YOU to join our team as a Production Planner and Scheduler! In this role, you will plan, schedule and produce work orders for customized assembled, fabricated and machined parts. You will identify gaps in the production line that need to be corrected, while working collaboratively with Advanced Equipment Engineers, Machine shop, Fabrication shop and Advanced Equipment Assemblers, to determine appropriate commitments and schedules. You will manage the ERP system after Engineering BOMS have been completed and turned into production plans for Engineer to Order projects and you will identify strategies to improve production efficiency.

Here’s what you will do in this role:
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust scheduling plans for production based on available resources, capacity, and demand.
  • Plan, schedule, and produce work orders for assembled, fabricated, and machined parts.
  • Monitor production processes, addressing potential bottlenecks and ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Manage ERP system after Engineering BOMS have been completed and turned into production plans for Engineer to Order projects.
  • Work collaboratively with Advanced Equipment Engineers, Machine shop, Fabrication shop, & Advanced Equipment Assemblers, to determine appropriate commitments and schedules.
  • Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage and work in conjunction with other departments to resolve issues and offer alternative scheduling.
  • Evaluate and report on production performance metrics, such as adherence to schedule and lead times.
  • Organize, create, and maintain systems for information flow and records for each job.
  • Assist the Operations Business Analysis Manager in developing long-term strategies for optimizing production flow and resource utilization.
  • Regularly update ERP/MRP systems with current scheduling data and make necessary adjustments in response to changes in the production environment.
  • Proactively identify challenges in the production schedule and work with relevant teams to develop contingency plans.
  • Develop strategies aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing lead times, and bolstering production responsiveness.
Here’s What You Need:
  • 2 years of experience in production planning/scheduling within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred)
  • Intermediate computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in using advanced ERP/MRP systems
  • Proven ability to manage complex scheduling scenarios and respond swiftly to unforeseen challenges
  • Strong attention to detail
