Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to contribute to the success of our construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore to create detailed estimates
- Prepare and submit bids for construction projects
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges
- Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive pricing for materials and subcontractor services
- Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference
- Participate in project meetings to provide input on cost control measures
- Assist in negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating field
- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, including building codes, regulations, and standards
- Proficient in using construction management software such as BidSync or similar programs
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately interpret project specifications and drawings
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
