Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00 Hourly

In the event that an After School Coach/Instructor and After SchoolSupervisor position becomes available at a school in the Orange County area, the hiring team will assess the overall pool of applicants and select individuals to contact for interviews.

After School Coach/Instructor and After SchoolSupervisor

Under the supervision of the ELOP Coordinator, After School Coach/Instructor and Supervisor will support students after school as a coach, instructor, or supervisor. Our focus is academic support, sports activities, and supervision support.

A) After School Coach/Instructor

The After School Coach/Instructor will provide leadership and support in academic, cultural, and recreational enrichment, and will also provide a safe environment that educates, enlightens, and inspires youth in a school setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In-Person supervision and implementation of enrichment activities, instructional study time, and daily snacks.
  • Implementing instructional learning activities and use age-appropriate methods to improve students’ academic, physical and social skills.
  • Implementing a variety of age-appropriate and theme-related activities to include music, art, drama, crafts, games, dance, STEAM, language, leisure educational and instructional study time, and occasional family nights.
  • Responsible for recording and submitting daily attendance and checking students out in cooperation with the ELOP Coordinator using the supporting platform.
  • Maintain responsible and positive discipline policies aligned with the expectations of the school.
  • Maintain professional attitude, rapport, and appearance with all program stakeholders.
  • Work cooperatively with school staff, administration, volunteers, and program partners, for responsible and safe use/care of school equipment and facilities.
  • Promotes good habits to improve the quality of student outcomes and encouraging student development
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends if necessary
  • Willing to travel to off-site meetings, training, and events
  • To perform other duties as assigned.

B) After School Supervisor

The Campus Supervisor assists in maintaining standards of student discipline and ensures the observance of rules and procedures by students and others on the school campus at the direction of the school administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patrol school corridors, restrooms, assembly, and athletic facilities, and other campus locations to observe student behavior and prevent violations or unsafe activities.
  • Direct students and others and take action, as necessary, to prevent injury to persons or damage to property.
  • Work with groups authorized to be on the campus before and after school and keep the campus free of unauthorized persons.
  • Assist school administrators in contacting parents regarding students with behavioral problems and discussing campus security with parent and community groups.
  • Assist employees of the school in supervising students during events.
  • Assist teachers in counseling individual students or groups of students.
  • Deliver, set up, layout, or collect equipment and other materials.
  • Assist with campus car and pedestrian traffic.
  • Establish good relations with individual students and groups, communicate orally with staff, parents and students, and react quickly and appropriately in emergencies.
  • Operate two-way radio equipment; work effectively with personnel, students, parents, the public, and others.
  • Helps with drop-off and pick-up of students during the day
  • Other job-related duties and schedules assigned by the supervisor
