IMMEDIATE OPENING for Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to support the Joint Base Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Ensures all equipment is properly assembled, operates, cleaned and sanitized before and after patient use and properly stored at the end of each work shift; verifies equipment preventive maintenance for equipment being used for patient care
• Performs medical records reviews and applies appropriate protocols and guidelines to determine medical needs.
• Maintains patient medical records in electronic format as well as hard copy as required.
• Prepares and submits administrative reports.
• Participates in training and continuing education programs for new procedures, techniques, and equipment.
• Must be knowledgeable in medical privacy and confidentiality (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); accreditation standards of Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and The Joint Commission (TJC);

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree: Certificate.
• Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) or another acceptable accreditation body.
• Experience: shall have practiced as an LPN/LVN performing hands-on patient care in an outpatient clinical setting for at least 12 months within the past 24 months
• Licensure: Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse.
