Immediate opening for a full-time Chiropractic Assistant to support Barksdale AFB, LA

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree: Certificate.

Education: Attend a formal training program as a chiropractic assistant.
Experience: Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Chiropractic Assistant in a chiropractic clinical setting within the last three (3) years, or have a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience with orthopedic/osteopathic clinical experience either in the inpatient or outpatient setting within the last three (3) years

• Licensing Board as a Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant

Certification: Current, full, active, certification as a chiropractic assistant

• Maintain BLS certification

Core Duties:

• Prepare treatment areas for incoming patients.
• Maintains treatment areas and exam rooms according to established standards and regulations, to include cleaning and preparing rooms in between patients
• Maintains all clinic equipment according to manufacturer's instructions and regulation.
• Administer complex, specialized supportive physiotherapy treatment in areas such as ultrasound, electrotherapy, and therapeutic hot/cold and therapeutic exercise in support of chiropractic treatments in the clinic in a safe and medically accepted manner as directed by the supervisor/provider.
• Escorts patients to treatment areas and exam rooms, instructs patients as directed by the provider, takes vital signs as directed.
• Perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.
• Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient’s condition before, during, and following the procedure.
• Instruct and supervise patient exercise programs.
• Provides patient care instructions at the direction of the provider and established protocols.
