Immediate Opening for Cardiac Cath Lab Technicians to support the Cardiac Catherization Laboratory at Keesler Air Force Base, MS.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Accurately documents procedure results within the appropriate electronic medical record used in the facility Composite Health Care System (MHS Genesis, Fysicon, etc.), or stored in a cardiology PACS server.
• First assistant to the physician as a cardiovascular technician or monitor/circulating technician during any cardiac procedures such as left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker implants, percutaneous vascular procedures, intraaortic balloon insertions, transvenous pacemaker insertions, pericardiocentesis, loop recorder implant/explants, electrophysiology (EP) procedures, percutaneous interventions, and any other procedures performed within the cardiac catheterization laboratory (cath lab).
• Participates in patient assessment, procedure set-up, teardown, and clean-up, while incorporating safety, quality, and values aligned with trusted care and patient centered principles.
• Ensures instruments and equipment are operational before, during, and after a scheduled procedure. Ensures equipment is maintained
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Certification

• Must be certified as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) as determined by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Must have proof of certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life
• Support/Advanced Life Support (ACLS/ALS).
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a cath lab technician within the last three years.
