POSITION SUMMARY

Serves as a payment expert having expertise in all payment areas. Specialization in ACH Origination, ACH Processing, Check Processing, Faster Payments (FedNow/RTP,Zelle), Remote Capture (mRDC/RDC), Wires, ATM Processing, and Cards (debit/credit). Will serve as a subject matter expert in their areas of specialization for all departments, credit union, and regulatory compliance purposes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the processes and systems related to Remote Capture, checks, ACH, wire transfers, bill pay, card fraud activity monitoring on member accounts, and Third Party Payment Processors including exception monitoring and ledger balancing.

• Responsible for plastic card disputes, fraud chargebacks and CAMS lists in compliance with Regulation E.

• Makes decisions and works with production staff regarding exception items ensuring proper handling within assigned authority including QRC’s, drafts and ACH items.

• Responsible for risk and fraud mitigation in relation to electronic services. Analyzes suspicious activity and enforces actions to mitigate risk.

• Oversee travel notifications are completed timely and accurately.

• Responsible for processing commercial digital banking services, including member ACH billing, payroll and wire transfer requests in a timely and accurate manner.

• Serves as a subject matter expert in payment processing in the areas of product, systems and compliance. Provides expertise regarding payment processing to the Branch Support team for escalated branch calls.

• Responsible for departmental compliance with rules, regulations and Credit Union policy that govern electronic services including but not limited to federal Regulation E, BSA, NACHA, wire transfer, item processing, remote deposit and bill pay.

• Assists in gathering requested documents and responses for internal and external audits such as Doreen Mayhew, Clifton Larson Allen, , NACHA, NCUA, etc.

• Assists with completion of annual risk assessments for payment processing (wire, ACH, Digital Banking, etc.).

• Assists staff and members with advanced payment processing support calls including wires, ACH transactions, fraud, digital banking, Positive Pay, velocity limits, etc.

• Responsible for Visa daily and monthly reports.

• Responsible for the completion of the Visa Operating Certificate.

• Assists in the review and creation of deposit procedures, practices and policies to ensure compliance with federal and state banking laws and regulations.

• Actively participates in community relations efforts to contribute to the mission and visibility of Magnifi Financial.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associates degree in a business-related field and two years of experience in a financial institution, preferably in electronic services; or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through a minimum of four years related work experience.
