General Description:

Operate CNC bender to accomplish daily tasks and complete jobs that require bent exhaust tubing. Bending and fabricating of exhaust tubing in and out of weld fixtures per Tech Center protocol. Bend and fabricate exhaust systems that are used on vehicles and in production to meet Car Sound/Magnaflow product requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Operating a CNC bending machine to bend exhaust tubing.
• Using CMM arm and manual measuring methods to get an accurate tube profile.
• Bend, fabricate, and test fit in weld fixtures until accurate fitment of part.
• Operating CMM arm and computer programs for evaluating correct tube profile.
• Fabricating tubing, hangers, and metal I.E. cutting, forming, sizing, and notching.
• Measuring and documenting all work

Requirements:

• General automotive and exhaust knowledge
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good computer skills
• Community college and/or Technical Trade School Certificate in Quality or Manufacturing; or minimum 2 years’ experience in the automotive aftermarket industry
• Experience working with exhausts systems.
• Metal Fabrication skill and knowledge required.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication machinery I.E. drill press, cold saw
• Knowledge and use of measuring tools I.E. calipers, tape measure, protractor.
• Interface with engineers to establish design criteria and specifications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while completing projects within designated time frame
• Attention to detail and ability to produce product within company standards.
• Ability to work in a team setting and communicate efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit and stand intermittently, use a keyboard, climb stairs occasionally, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
