The IT Manager’s role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the cooperative. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT related activities of the cooperative, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The IT Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
A.Reports to:Financial Services Officer
B.Supervises:Program Analyst, Cyber Security Manager, and Network and Communications Manager.
A.Lead IT department operational and strategic planning, including innovation, planning projects, cybersecurity, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
B.Coordinates the implementation and administration of all cooperative IT Systems.
C.Evaluates and recommends for purchase computer hardware, supplies, and other equipment.
D.Coordinates all aspects of the cooperative telecommunications program.
E.Ensures that safety policies, rules, and procedures are carried out by all reporting personnel.
F.Responsible for development of data integration and maintenance programs.
G.As a member of the management team, this position is responsible for the provision of a full range of supervisory activities including but not limited to the selection, training, and evaluation of section personnel planning and the completion of special projects as delegated.
H.Observes all safety guidelines.

A.Consultants:Confers with, advises, informs and coordinates activities with MIS Consultants.
B.Vendors:exchanges information and obtains bids and updates on computer,communication hardware and software.
C.General Public:Maintains good relations in all contacts with the general public.
