POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Configuration Specialist supports our Customers, Outside Sales team and the Engineering department by receiving and interpreting product-related information from the customer to perform the activities that occur once a sales order is placed. This position will configure and complete the orders before the product build can occur or be scheduled for delivery.

Essential Functions:

· Process customer documentation and resolve any confusion or conflicting information between the sales representative, customer, and engineering department.

· Analyze all new bill of materials and engineering changes and work with Engineering Technician to accurately update prior to configuration.

· Verify necessary drawings are attached and/or stored in appropriate location for future use.

· Generate any internal documentation needed to push order to production.

· Generate any external documentation needed to be approved or signed by customer.

· Advise customer of any changes needing to be made to an order. Get written approval for any subsequent changes. Work with Management team, when necessary, to elevate and resolve issues.

· Maintain archives or old revisions and end-of-life bill of materials, drawings, set up sheets, visuals, process flow charts.

· Provide daily support for manufacturing.

· Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.

· Maintain a safe work environment.

· All other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Associates Degree in related field or High School Diploma with manufacturing experience.

Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as an Engineering Technician or Customer Service role in a manufacturing environment.

Computer Skills: Advanced – Microsoft Excel, Solid Works, Epicor preferred.

Certificates & Licenses: None.

Other Physical Requirements: Employees must wear steel-toed boots when in the plant, must wear protective eyewear, hearing protection, or any other protective equipment when around production areas. This position may work in outdoors during inclement weather and/or extreme heat.

Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Work is often performed in an urgent manner with stressful situations.
